Marvin R. Lucas, 74, of Sterling, died July 1, 2007, in Denver. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, with vigil services at 7 p.m., all at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 6, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert L. Wedow officiating. Services will conclude at the church.
Mr. Lucas was born Sept. 22, 1932, to John and Austie (Minor) Lucas in Denver. He graduated from high school. He worked at Wal-Mart for several years.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Shriners, Masons and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and walking with his dog. He loved people and had a compassion for pthem.
Mr. Lucas is survived by his sons, Michael Lucas of Parkersburg, W.V., and Darrin Luttrell of Littleton; daughters, Linda Johnson of Woodland Park, Debbie Zuniga of Denver, Mary Ann Watson of Ozona, Texas, Darlene Duncan of Owensboro, Ky., and Pam Luttrell of Bluemont, Va.; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lucas, in May of 2006.
