Obituary
Martha Mae Malmedal, 88, of Sterling, died May 4, 2010, in Sterling. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Kingdom Hall, 1162 N. Eighth Ave., Sterling, with Jim Thiele officiating.
She was born May 19, 1921, in Maza, N.D., to Simon and Augusta (Lambrecht) Gutschlag.
On June 9, 1942, she married Harry Malmedal. They had four children, Blaine, Harriet, Keith and Dale.
Mrs. Malmedal opened H&M TV and Electronics in Sterling with her husband in February 1959 and operated it until their retirement in 1979.
She spend many winters after retirement in Arizona.
Mrs. Malmedal is survived by daughter, Harriet Malmedal of Devil's Lake, N.D.; sons, Blaine and wife Susan of Sterling, Keith and wife Avonda of Denver, Dale and wife Gaelynne of Telluride; and grandson, Greg Malmedal and wife Shur're of Sterling.
Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2004.
