Marion Harms Weaver, 98, formerly of Sterling, died Friday, April 9, 2010, in Brush. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 12, at Riverside Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Young officiating.
She was born Dec. 17, 1911, in Deshler, Neb., to Heike Maine and Dorcas (Criley) Harms. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1930.
Mrs. Weaver owned and operated Marion's Knit Shop for several years. She was manager at the Montgomery Wards Store and the Sterling More Value and Stickneys Store, retiring in 1980.
On Dec. 24, 1940, she married Jackson F. Weaver in Sterling.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was actively involved in the choir and the church activities and organizations.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by her daughters, Ann Barnes and husband Wayne of Fort Morgan and Doris Mae Keesee of Roseburg, Ore.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Weaver in 1963.
