Marilou Morris, 73, of Merino, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Sterling. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the Redeeming Grace Gospel Church, 11459 CR 33, Sterling. The Reverand David Johnson will officiate. Services will conclude at the church.
Ms. Morris was born April 21, 1934 to Ruth "Bany" (Reinhardt) and William "Bill" Whittier in Colorado Springs. She graduated from high school in Fort Morgan and attended junior college there.
She was a receptionist at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.
She is survived by her daughters, Janine Morris of Colorado, and Ruth Ann Wetzbarger of California; son, Tim Morris of Colorado; cousin Karen (Dummie) Kirkhart of New York; grandchildren, Kathleen Perez, Timothy Morris, Ashley Morris, Samantha Morris, Andrew Morris, Angel and Leticia; great-grandchildren, Janine Olivas, Janae Olivas, Jesenia Martinez and Juan Carlos Perez; aunt, Gladys Reinhardt of Sterling; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doc Morris, and son, Jon Morris.
