Marie Cummings, 92, of Sterling, passed away May 19, 2012, in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Pastor Sean Cole officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Ropesville, Texas, at a later date.

Marie was born May 19, 1920, in Heavener, Okla., to Luther and Martha Lou (Bowman) Oliver.

On July 23, 1936, she married Voyd Cummins in Heavener.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Marie is survived by her sons, J.C. Cummings and wife Barbara Ann of Florence, Dale Cummins and wife of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Arlene Ransom and husband Norman of Sterling; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Voyd Cummings in 1973; sisters, Elsie Peeler and Edith Suter; and brother, E.E. Oliver.
