Margaret F. Swan, 83 of Sterling passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Devonshire Acres. Visitation will be Friday, August 31 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.

Margaret was born February 27, 1935 in Sterling, Colorado to Marion L. and Helen (Rock) Gritton. She graduated from Sterling High School. Margaret married Cecil W. Swan on June 14, 1952 in Raton, New Mexico. To this union two children were born, Scott Edward and David Allen.

Margaret worked as a secretary for the Co. superintendant of schools, the Logan County Court, an attorney's office and lastly at an oil well service where she retired from in 2004. She was a longtime member of the Legal Secretaries Assocation.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil; son David and her brother Les Gritton.

Margaret is survived by her son, Scott and wife Demmy; daughter-in-law, Dawna Swan and fiancé Mike Robinett; 5 grandchildren, Mike Swan and Michelle Diaz, Kelli Aimar and husband Ryan, Stephen Swan and wife Samantha, Kayla Myers and husband Chaz, Drew Swan and fiancé Shalynn Bullock; two step-granddaughters, Cassidy Brekel and husband Chad and Brandi Klassen and husband Bryan and 8 great grandchildren.
