Margaret Reyes, 88, of Sterling, passed away July 1, 2013, in Sterling, surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Deacon Ronald Michieli officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

She was born March 22, 1925, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose Alcala and Pasqualla Gonzales.

On Aug. 9, 1947, she married Julian Reyes in Sterling. They were married 59 years.

She enjoyed bingo, gardening, flowers and her family, watching kids and grandkids in all their sports and activities. She enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Irene Darby and husband Marc of Sterling, Bonnie Nestor and husband Ron of Sterling; son, Larry Reyes and wife Kelli of Atwood; grandchildren, Brad Darby and wife Holly, Brenda Gojkovich and husband Tim, Whitney Cummings and husband Jacob, Aaron Reyes; great-grandchildren, Zander Gojkovich and Julian Darby; sisters, Anna Nunez and husband Sam, Lorraine Serrato and husband George; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Reyes; sisters, Jennie Navarro, Mary Acosta; brothers, Al, Salvador, Joseph and Frank Alcala; and parents, Jose and Pasqualla Alcala.
