Mabel Irene Bigg, 92, of Sterling passed away October 28, 2013 in Sterling. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Sterling Foursquare Church with Pastor Ben Hackbarth officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Mabel was born January 18, 1921 to Charles Francis and Edna (Seydel) Wales in Haxtun, Colorado.

Mabel was a homemaker. She was a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She loved crocheting, reading and cross-word puzzles.

Mabel is survived by her children, David Bigg and wife Sandra, Barbara Griess and husband Raymond, Cheryl Smith and husband Donald, Robert Bigg and wife Regena; grandchildren, Allen and wife Cheri, Mike and wife Connie, Patty and husband Mike, Joe and wife Jennifer, Tim and wife Tanja, Lisa and husband Fred, Lori and husband Todd, Daniel, Carrie and husband Matt, Jarred; and sister-in-law, Ruby Nell Green. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; brother, James P. Wales; great-grandson, Christopher R. E. Curtis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
