Louise Schroeder, 96, of Sterling, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in Boulder. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Leroy United Methodist Church with Pastor Joyce Hudiburgh officiating. Interment will be at Leroy Cemetery in Leroy.
She was born Aug. 9, 1912, to William and Anna (Depue) Lester, in Kelly. She graduated from Harding High School.
On Sept. 20, 1929, she married Reuben Schroeder. She was a wife and a homemaker.
Mrs. Schroeder was a member of the Leroy United Methodist Church and Faith United Methodist Church, and Kelly Homemakers.
She enjoyed traveling, poetry, sewing and needlework, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Schroeder is survived by her daughters, Donna Waters of Rio Rancho, N.M., Georgia Mayer of Jackson, Wyo., and Anita Landess of Boulder; son, Bill Schroeder and wife Marilyn of Wellington; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Schroeder; parents; and brother, William George Lester.
