Lorna Walter Kerschner age 92 passed away August 4, 2014 in Watonga, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be Sat., Aug. 9, 2014 at 11 am at the Willard Cemetery.

Her love of children was exhibited through her many years of teaching. Beginning in Powell, Wyoming with her student teaching followed by teaching at Torrington, Wyoming. During which time she met and married Gene Walter of Willard, Colorado. Her family was foremost in her life. Two daughters were born to Gene and Lorna; Terry Syslo of Merino, Colorado and Lisa Meador of Watonga, Oklahoma. Gene and Lorna farmed and ranched until Gene's passing.

She continued to teach until her retirement. Her school career consisted of High Plains and Merino Schools.

Lorna married Dick Kerschner after her retirement.

She is survived by her husband Dick Kerschner of Sterling, Colorado
Two daughters Terry Syslo and husband Jerry of Merino, CO and
Lisa Meador and husband Jake of Watonga, Oklahoma

Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous friends who all loved her.
