Lorene Evelyn Rigel Lorene Evelyn Rigel, 79, of Greeley and formerly of Fleming and Sterling, died July 7, 2010, in Greeley. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Fleming United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Leighton Mekeal officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born July 30, 1930, in Sterling to Lloyd and Millie (Harnish) Langdon.
During her high school years, she worked at Davis Restaurant in Fleming. During her time at NJC, she worked for Effie Palmer using a Dictaphone. She graduated from NJC and worked for Hutchinson Store and, later, EJ McKluskys Insurance. Mrs. Rigel worked at the First National Bank of Fleming for 12 years and at the Commercial/Key Bank in Sterling for 15 years.
On Dec. 14, 1952, she married Harold Rigel in Fleming.
Throughout the years, she was active in her church and in her community.
Mrs. Rigel is survived by her sons, Richard Rigel and wife Sally of Lamar and Lloyd Rigel and wife Mary Lou of Evans; daughter, Karen Galvin and husband Gary of Greeley; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1969; one sister; and her parents.
