Obituary

Linda Lee Baker, 62, of Ovid, passed away Oct. 10, 2013, in Holyoke. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sean Cole officiating. Services will conclude at the church.

Linda was born May 6, 1951, in Greensburg, Pa., to Donald Eugene and Sarah Evelyn (Struble) Hartman.

She was a homemaker. She married Mark Baker on July 31, 2000, in Sterling.

Linda was a member of Fort Wicked Muzzle Loaders, served as a volunteer for the Hospice of the Plains, and loved teaching children and singing. She was a Sunday school teacher at Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years, then taught at Harvest Baptist until she became ill. She loved camping and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Mark E. Baker; sons, Jason Edward Adams and wife April, Kris Lee Adams and wife Stacy, David Baker and wife Jenny, Kenneth Baker and wife Kris; sister, Sharon Lavon Dornin; grandchildren, Darion Adams, David Richardson, Tessa Adams, Noah Adams, Kaden Adams, Taylor Borland, Abigail Borland, Claudia Baker, Alyssa Baker, James Baker and Kendall Baker; niece, Melissa Hazen; aunts, Janet Good, Janet Hartman; uncle, Ira Hartman.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Ira Hartman Sr., Violet Struble and Rose Hartman.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Plains.
