Obituary

Lillian (Schott) Stark, 93, of Windsor and formerly of Sterling, died April 8, 2009. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today, April 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Chaney-Reager, with the Rev. Victor Karg officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born Feb. 9, 1916, to Christopher and Marie Catherine (Meng) Schott, and was one of 11 children.
On Feb. 7, 1937, she married Jack Stark in Fort Morgan. They farmed in the Fort Morgan area for five years, in Atwood for 10 years, and in the Iliff/Proctor area until 1980, when they retired from the farm and moved to Sterling.
In 2004, Mrs. Stark moved to the Severance/Windsor area.
She loved to garden and cook. She was known for her roses and gardening talents, and she enjoyed trying new recipes.
Mrs. Stark is survived by her daughter, TJ Chasteen and husband Ken of Severance; sons, Larry Stark and wife Karen of Arvada and Darold Stark and wife Karen of Iliff; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Alex, Marie Harris, Lydia Karg, Chris, Robert, Rosie Karg, Henry, Albert, Harold and Alberta.
