Lila L. McFarland age 77 of Sterling, passed away Sun., March 30, 2014 in Sterling. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Sat., April 5, 2014 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Bigler III officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Lila was born Feb. 1, 1937 in Sterling to Gayle and Helen( Royse) Whittenbaugh. She married Howard L. McFarland on Sept. 15, 1984 in Sterling. She was a bookkeeper at L, H & M Garage from 1979 until her retirement in 1999.

She is survived by sons Dave Orton of Sterling and Mike Orton and wife Beth of Phoenix, AZ; sister Colleen Chance and husband Rodney of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren Whitney Thistle, Madison Orton and Zach Orton; great grandchildren David Thistle Jr. and Joey Thistle.

Lila was preceded in death by parents; sister Lois Jean Schlegel and husband Howard McFarland in 1990.
