Leo Ray Christensen, 89 of Sterling, CO passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Devonshire Acres. Visitation and family to receive friends will be held from 1:00 -4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 19 at The Rock Assembly of God Church with Pastor Wally Weber officiating. Leo will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Leo was born June 25, 1933, in Big Springs, Nebraska to Anton and Mary Irene (Goudie) Christensen. He graduated from Big Springs High School. He enlisted in the U.S Army and was stationed in Thule, Greenland. He was honorably discharged on July 24, 1956. Leo married Marilyn Kae Franklin on April 13, 1963, in Sterling, CO. Leo worked as a furniture salesman for over 40 years at Beattie Furniture and Warehouse Sales.

Leo was a longtime member of The Rock Assembly of God Church and American Legion. He also served on the church board for over 40 years. Leo enjoyed camping, biking, cars and drag racing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Mary.

Leo is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons Mark Alan Christensen and wife Tami and Dale Ray Christensen and wife Cari and grandchildren Kaylee, Claire, Emma and Sam.
