Lendon "Lyn" B. Nunn, 87, passed away to be with his Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017, in Sterling, Co. Visitation with family will be from 4 pm to 6 pm Friday, March 24 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Sat., March 25 at the Berean Church with private family interment at the Riverside Cemetery.

Lendon was born July 26, 1929 on the family farm in Hart County, Kentucky. He was the third child of Luther and Katie Nunn, along with sister Dorothy and brothers James and Arlene. He worked on the family farm until moving to Louisville in the late 1940's to seek employment.

He met Margaret A. Audas and they married December 7, 1951 and had 3 children. Lyn worked as a machinist die setter for General Electric for about 40 years and also was a carpenter/builder as a second job. He enjoyed fishing, camping across the South in his RV, and spending time with family.

Lendon and his wife moved to Sterling in 2006 to be close to his family and attended the Berean Church where he enjoyed attending a Bible study with his son-in-law Terry and several other men of the church. He always finished his or others' prayers with "Thank you Lord."

Lendon is preceded in death by his parents, sons Robbie and Ronald, brothers James and Arlene, and his great grandson Liam Messer.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret, daughter Sherrie Cummings and her husband Terry, grandchildren Elizabeth Messer and husband Joseph, Sarah Schwindt and her husband Kyle, and Bryce Cummings; great grandchildren Micah and Isaiah Messer and Xavier, Norah, and Piper Schwindt.
