Leland L. Knudson, 77 of Sidney, Nebraska and former Sterling resident passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Viewing will be 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 15 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 16 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Rev. Jodie Harless officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.

Leland was born on April 28, 1940 in Sterling, Colorado to Lewis Joseph and Lillis Belle (Patterson) Knudson. Leland spent his whole life on "the farm". He also worked in the newspaper business for over 55 years.

Leland is survived by his wife, Christine of Sidney, Nebraska; daughter, Sharon Knudson; son, Richard Knudson; and brother LoRee Knudson all of Sterling.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Lillis.
