L.C. 'Jim' Hoover

L.C. "Jim" Hoover, 86, of Sterling, died Sept. 14, 2007, in Sterling. There was cremation. A private family inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery. Chaney-Reager Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Hoover was born May 15, 1921, to Lowell Clifford and Lillie Clarinda (Cohagan) Hoover in Haxtun. He was raised in Holyoke. He graduated from high school, and then attended the University Colorado and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
He entered the U.S. Air Force during World War II for four years in the 339th Fighters Squadron as a sergeant. He was an auctioneer and traveled the United States with his father. He also raised registered Herefords.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, and visiting his friends at the J and L Cafe and the American Legion.
Mr. Hoover is survived by his son, Michael Hoover of Estes Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
