Kenneth Duane "Butch" Freeman passed away at home on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, in Sterling, Colo. As per Butch's request cremation has been chosen and there will be no services.
Butch was born to Alvin Duane and Vendela Grace (Holmes) Freeman on March 29th, 1955, in Canon City, Colo. He attended Canon City High School until he graduated in 1973. In 1978, he started working as a Brakeman for Burlington Northern Railroad in Edgemont, SD., and remained with BNSF for nearly 40 years. After transferring to Sterling in 1980, he fell in love with and in 1983 married Louann (Meisner) and they remained married for more than 38 years. Butch was loving, warm, selfless, and humble. If you knew Butch you liked him, he was an easy-going, fun-loving person that loved people and animals equally.
He was preceded in death by Father Alvin, mother Vendela, sister Kay, brother Danny, nephew Josh, and wife Louann. Kenneth is survived by brother Richard "Duke", sister Delane, son Aaron, grandson Jacob, and many nieces and nephews whom he deeply loved.
