Kathy Ann Carpenter, 67 of Sterling, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Services will be held at a later date in Havre, Montana.

Kathy was born June 17, 1954, in Havre, Montana to Ralph Earnist Hammond and Lois Ann Hamilton. She attended school in Havre, Montana, until she decided to go to work. She was a jack of all trades and always had 2 jobs, from cooking to driving a truck. Her hobbies were watching do it yourself shows and she had amazing ideas. She also enjoyed watching her son's progress on remodeling his home and family get togethers, especially holiday dinners and barbecues in the summer.

She is preceded in death by her mother Lois Ann Hamilton and her father Ralph Earnist Hammond, grandbabies Zacary Maestas and Elijah Gerbitz.

Kathy is survived by her 4 sisters, 1 brother and several nieces and nephews all from Washington State; sons Joe Maestas of NE, and Jeffrey Maestas of CO; daughter Jennifer Maestas of CO; grandchildren Alexander & Brandi Maestas, Kordell Maestas, Ariauna Maestas, Jessalina Maestas all from NE, Cody Maestas of CA, Joseph Maestas of WA, Tara Maestas-Loft, Anastasia Gerbitz, Thomas Gerbitz, Isaac Ortiz, Trey L. Gerbitz all from CO and great-grandbabies Josiah & Mythias Maestas Loft of CO and numerous nieces and nephews from CO.
