Kathleen Anne

Kathleen Anne Hall Littler, 74, of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Greeley, CO at sunset with her family by her side. Vigil service and Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 7 pm, Friday, March 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Saturday, March 10, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Sterling, CO with The Very Reverend Michael Bodzioch celebrating.
Kathy was born in McCook, NE to Gordon and Kathryn DeMay Hall. She married her childhood sweetheart, Henry Reed Littler, 55 years ago on November 18, 1962 in Sterling, CO. After their marriage, they resided in Sterling until Hank joined the service and they moved to Fort Hood, TX. Hank was then transferred to Bornheim, Germany where he worked in the military hospital and Kathy moved to be with her husband. Kathy enjoyed meeting new people and learning about the culture. They loved exploring Europe and taking in the local culture and learning about the history of the area. They spent time camping and taking daytrips to the mountain villages and traveling all around Europe.
Kathy was a kind, generous soul who was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her family was the center of her world. She never met a stranger as she became fast friends with all who she encountered. Her ability to be your biggest cheerleader and to give her unconditional support and love was her most amazing quality. Her empathy and compassion were unmatched.
She was affectionately known by many as "The Popcorn Lady". Her gift was not only the popcorn itself, but also the joy she created and the smiles of those around her. It was difficult for her to retire, as she really enjoyed her interactions with her community.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Henry Littler; her children, Elizabeth Avens of Fort Collins, CO; Robert M. Littler and wife Libby of Lander, WY; and Cassana Littler and husband Benjamin Johnson of Grand Junction, CO. She truly loved her grandchildren--Tanner Avens, Ryker Avens, Ethan Littler, Jaedon Bruce, Brady Littler, Hank Littler, and Lily Littler.
She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara and husband Ron Michieli, Marilyn and husband Ken Moncrief, Tom Hall, John Hall and Jude Hall, as well as her in-laws David Littler, Howard and wife Patti Littler, and Karla Kelly.
In heaven she has met her in-laws, Robert and Mildred Littler, and her parents, Gordon and Kathryn Hall.
Contributions may be made in Kathy's memory to the Hospice of the Plains in care of Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, PO Box 1046, Sterling, CO 80751.
