Juana Castro-Rojas

Juana Castro Rojas, 89, of Sterling passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at home with her loving family by her side.

Viewing with family to receive friends will be held from 1-6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 3, at 16253 Hwy 14 in Sterling, CO followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 4 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Oiye as celebrant. Juana will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Juana was born January 26, 1937, to Jose Castro Santibanez and Guadalupe Garcia Rodriguez in Mezquite, Gordo Romita, Gto., Mexico. She married Antonio Rojas Zepeda on October 15, 1975, in Rocky Ford, CO. Juana enjoyed gardening and cooking and was a very loving grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father Jose Castro, mother Guadalupe Garcia and her husband Antonio Rojas Zepeda.

Juana is survived by her sons Bruno Garcia of Edinburg, TX, Jesus Garcia of Los Angeles, CA, and Jose Jacobo Lopez Castro of Edinburg, TX; daughters Guadalupe Garcia of Edinburg, TX and Antonia Garcia of Sterling, CO; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
