John (Johnnie) Duane Grauberger, 80 passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Devonshire Acres, where he resided since 2016. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 24 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michelle Witherspoon officiating. The service will conclude at the church.

He was born November 1, 1937 to John and Rachel (Wagner) Grauberger in Sterling, Colorado.  He grew up on the family farm in Iliff, Colorado with his 9 other siblings, working in the beet fields, and milking cows.  After leaving the farm he worked for Sterling Elks Club until an accident while working there caused him to be disabled. He married Elaine Wright September of 1979, Elaine passed away July of 2017.  Johnnie's favorite pass time was playing cards, and bingo. His kind and gentle soul will be missed.

Johnnie is survived by sisters, Joane Kircher, Minnesota, Shirley Emmons  (Marv) from Parker, Colorado, Nancy Bettger from California, and Pat Borner from Sterling, and one brother Dave Grauberger (Pat) from Greeley, sister-in-law, Janice Grauberger from Iliff, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rachel; wife Elaine; sisters, Virginia, and Ruth, and brothers Harley, and Richard.
