John Trettenero, 64 of Sterling passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Lew Champ officiating. Inurnment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
John was born September 13, 1952 in Richmond, California to Albert Tuli and Lois Lavern (Hecker) Trettenero. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and served in the National Guards in Kansas and Colorado for over 22 years. John worked 30 years as a carpet installer. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and Kansas Jayhawks play and he was a collector of everything.
John is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Taylor and husband Dick of Yuma, CO, Rebecca Ball of Sterling; twin brother, Jim Trettenero and wife Joyce of Great Bend, Kansas; brother Phil Trettenero and wife Jeannie of Wheat Ridge, CO and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a niece Dawn Trettenero.
