Joann Teresa Frank, 79 of Sterling, passed away Fri., Oct. 17, 2014 in Sterling. Visitation will be Tues., Oct. 21, 2014 from 10am until 7pm, with Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wed., Oct. 22, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Joann was born Feb. 3, 1935 in Iliff, CO, the daughter of Albert Zink and Christina Appelhans. Joann was raised on a Dairy Farm NE of Iliff, Colorado. She graduated from Iliff High School. Joann was united in holy matrimony at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic to Paul (Jim) James Frank Sr. on January 14, 1961. She was employed at Stickney's Inc. and also Trinidad Bean Elevator where she retired as office manager. Joann was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Sterling. She instilled her compassion, sincerity, and love of life upon her children, grandchildren, and all those who had the blessing of her presence.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Frank and Albert Zink, and her husband Jim.

She is survived by children Paul Frank, Jr. and Jamie Kane of Brighton; Diane and husband Trent Sherman of Erie; Laura and husband Ed Mason of Erie; and Joni and husband Steig Seaward of Erie; grandchildren Nicole and Cassidy Frank; Tera, Kyle, and Kelli Sherman; Daniel, Matthew, Thomas, and Katie Mason; and Mikayla and James Seaward; great grandchild Natalie Frank; sisters Virginia Stieb Yahn and Lorraine Zink or Sterling.
