Joan C. (Parks) Miller was born December 6, 1962, in Colorado Springs, CO, at the Air Force Academy hospital to George and Fawn Parks.  Joanie passed away Monday, August 21, 2023.  She completed high school and attended Metropolitan State College in Denver.  She began her career as a telephone operator and worked as an executive assistant and homemaker for years after that.  She married Jim Miller and together they had two children, Tina, and James.  She took great pleasure in caring for her children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, and friends.

Beloved Joanie is and always will be an angel.  She was a precious mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, dearest friend to all, and so much more.  Our sorrow from her passing is deeply heartfelt, but we are forever blessed and joyous for having known her, her radiant beauty, both inside and out, and that forever she is in the divine presence of our Lord.  On eagle's wings she soars, our most precious loved one.

She is preceded in death by one of her sons, her mother, two brothers, and a beloved sister.

Joan is survived by her daughter and son, two granddaughters, her father, three sisters, and three brothers.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Chaney-Reager Funeral Home followed by a gathering in honor of Joanie's life.  The services will conclude at the chapel, and all are invited to attend the continued celebration of life at a local establishment yet to be announced.

The family is most grateful to the members of the Sterling Health and Rehabilitation Center for their tender loving care for Joanie during her final days.
