Joan Louise Bevans

Joan Louise Bevans, 87 of Sterling, CO passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. Viewing will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 1 at Halouska Family Chaney-Reager FH. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Chris Rose officiating.

Joan was born on January 11, 1939, in Denver, Colorado to Robert Thomas Dunhill and Nellie May Speck. She attended Cherry Creek High School in Aurora, CO. On January 11, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart Donald Leroy Bevans. They later moved to Crook, CO and resided there until she moved to Sterling. Joan enjoyed playing Bingo, search word puzzles, socializing with her friends at the care home, camping and traveling in the RV.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, brothers-in-law Bill Ebert, Jack Bevans and Harry Bevans.

Joan is survived by her son David Bevans, brother George (Debbie) Dunhill and her sister June Ebert.
