Jerry Dean Patten, 73, of Sterling, passed away Fri., Nov. 7, 2014 in Sterling. Visitation Tues., Nov. 11, 2014 from 10am until 6pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service Wed., Nov. 12 at 2pm at Living Word Church of God, interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Jerry was born May 4, 1941 in Fort Morgan, CO to Robert and Lucille Andrews Patten. He attended Fort Morgan Schools. Jerry was a small engine repair mechanic at Marsaus for most of his career.
He married Nancy Lintner July 7, 1961 in Fort Morgan. They were married for 49 years before she passed away Feb. 17, 2011.
Jerry enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, country music and was a member of the family band.
He is survived by sons Jerry Patten and wife Tami and their two children Trey and Maren of Atwood, CO, and Robert Patten and his three children Carman, Travis and Sammie of Sterling, CO; three great grandchildren Madison, Brookleigh and Gracelynn; sister Florence Earley of Alabama; brother Fred Patten and wife Mary of Denver; sisters-in-law Eva Kuhns and husband Sam of Sterling, Marilyn Belcher of Oklahoma, Betty Townsend of Sterling, Margie Lintner of Sterling and brother-in-law Ed Lintner and wife Peggy of Sterling.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lucille; sisters Helen Hastings and Pat McGee; brother Robert Patten; brothers-in-law Wayne Earley, Jim Hastings and Cliff Belcher and nephew Harold W. "Willie" Kuhns.
