Jerry Richard Kaus, 52 of Sterling, passed away Sat., March 26, 2016 in Sterling. There will be no service at this time. A dinner will be held on Sat., Apr. 2, 2016 at 12:30pm at the Merino High School.

Jerry was born May 2, 1963 in Sterling, CO to Andrew Richard and Regina Verlee Amen Kaus. He graduated from Sterling High School.

On June 20, 1983 he married Amy Bernice Taylor in Sterling. Jerry worked for his father at Andy's Standard Station at Atwood from 1979 until 1996. He opened Jerry's Muffler and Repair Service at the same location in 1996, working until he passed away.

Jerry was a member of the Broken Arrow Archery Club. He loved hunting and fishing thru the years.

Jerry is survived by his wife Amy Kaus of Sterling; sons Jeremy Andrew Kaus and wife Mandy and their children Zoriah, Andrew, Casey and Jayden all of Merino; Jamie Andrew Kaus and fiancé Julieann Trout and son Brayden, all of Iliff; brother-in-law Gene Moe of Atwood, niece Kristin Moe of Sterling, nephew Ethan Moe of Atwood; half brother Frank Welsh , nephew Alex and nieces Trisha and Mandy all of Greeley; half brother Kurt Welsh and nieces Devon, Colynn and Chloe all of Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half sister Diana Welsh Moe.
