Jerry G. Hill, 83 of Sterling CO passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Sterling Regional Med Center. No services are planned.

Jerry was born October 3, 1941, in Todd County, South Dakota to Grover Edward Hill and Cena Arlene (Robertson) Hill. Jerry attended a small country school south of Kilgore, NE and then graduated as class Valedictorian from Kilgore High School in 1960. After graduation, he enlisted in military service and was assigned to the 7th Army in Nuremburg, Germany. He was honorably discharged on March 7, 1964, and then attended trade school in Omaha, Nebraska to become an auto body and fender technician.

Jerry moved to Denver and worked for a few years building houses and working for Honeywell. He moved to Sterling, Colorado to farm and ranch and do auto body work.

On February 14, 1979, he married Debra Nickel. Jerry and Debbie continued to farm and ranch northwest of Sterling, raising their family there. Jerry retired from work in 2002.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family, mostly his siblings, their spouses and children and his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards and keeping busy. We all thought he enjoyed working as hard as he did!

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Debra Hill, and brother Donald Hill.

Jerry is survived by his children Jeri Lynn (Brad) Hill-Stahl of Haxtun, CO, Mike (Janette) Hill of Peetz, CO, Ann (James) Brewer of Alma, AR, Bryan (Terrina) Hill of Sterling, CO, Stephanie (Mike) Hill-Ziller of Cheyenne, WY and Dale (Lisa) Hill of Cheyenne, WY; brothers Marvin Hill (Fran) of Dayton, OR, Lawrence (Barb) Hill of Alliance, NE, Doug (Linda) Hill of Douglas, WY, Frank (Ginger) Hill of Cozad, NE, and Kenneth Hill (Wanda) of Gillette, WY; sister Pauline Ramig of Aurora, OH; sister-in-law Yvonne Hill of Scottsbluff, NE and many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
