Jerold David Moll, 85 of Sterling, passed away Mon, Dec. 14, 2015 in Sterling. Visitation will be Thurs., Dec. 17 from 10:00 am until service time Thurs., at 1:30 pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Jerry was born June 8, 1930 in Spencer, Nebraska to David Julius and Leona Emmaline Carle Moll. He graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Army as staff sergeant during the Korean War. Jerry worked in the oilfields in the gas and oil industry thru the years.
Jerry married Joan Prowett on Feb. 14, 1952.

On Dec. 15, 1966 in Sterling, CO he married Eleanor Barnts Japp. Jerry was a member of the American Legion Post No 20 and the VFW Post No 3541.

Jerry is survived by his son Randy Moll and Marilee Johnson of Sterling, CO; daughter Pam Strover of Esterwood, LA; daughter-in-law Lee Moll Birgenheier and husband Ron of Sterling; stepchildren Mel and Cindy Japp of Guernsey, WY, Roger and Gayle Japp of Sterling, Nyla Japp and Joan Trevarthen of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister-in-law June Bredehoft of Ft. Collins, CO and good friend Alberta Smart of Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eleanor Moll, sons Steve Moll and Craig Moll, daughter Jerri Jo Lane and step-son Richard Japp.
