Jeanette "Tootsie" K. Brown, 79 of Sterling passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with the Very Reverend Michael Bodzioch as officiant. Jeanette will be laid to rest at Riverside cemetery.

Jeanette was born February 7, 1943, in Paris, Texas to James C. Powell and Elsie M. (Kiblosky) Powell.

Jeanette married Everett N. Brown on February 13, 1961, in Trinidad, CO. She loved to travel with her sister-in-law and spend time with family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Everett in 2003, her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter Gaylene Taylor and husband Terry, and sons Curt Brown and Doug Brown and wife Sharon; sister Patricia Ramsey; grandchildren Brady Rowe, Shaun Brown, Kaila Brown, Kyle Brown, Tori Taylor, and Lanae Taylor and 4 great-grandchildren.
