Jean E. Lyne, 89, of Fleming, CO passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in Haxtun, CO. Per her request, no services will be held.

Jean was born April 17, 1934, in Concordia, Kansas to E. Howard and Velma (Henderson) Larson. She graduated from Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina, KS in May 1953. She worked most of her career as a secretary/bookkeeper for El Saline School District and Lindsborg School District in Kansas.

Jean married Dennis Lyne on June 4, 1953. Jean successfully competed in 4-H in sewing and home making. She later became a leader in her local 4-H club for sewing. She enjoyed sewing and doing many handcrafts.

She is preceded in death by her parents E. Howard and Velma Larson, husband Dennis Lyne and her brother George Larson.

Jean is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Breck) Monier of Miltonvale, KS and Paula (Kenneth) Frantz of Fleming, CO; grandchildren Dustin (Stacy) Monier of Seneca, KS, Lydia (AJ) Kessler of Hutchinson, KS, Nathan (Olivia Kurajian) Frantz of Portage, MI and Rachel (Luke Georges) Frantz of Ogden, UT and great grandchildren Kinsey, Emilia and Lawson Monier of Seneca, KS.
