Jean Jacqueline Lewis, 90 of Sterling passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Sterling. Visitation will be from 1 – 5 pm, Friday, February 2 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 3 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Jean was born March 14, 1927 in Sterling, Colorado to B.F. "Blondy" and Florence Edna (Donnelson) Hartway. She graduated from Sterling High School and worked many years as a bookkeeper. She married Roger Eugene Lewis on June 12, 1948 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Sterling. They were married for 61 years before Roger's passing in 2009. Jean volunteered as a Gray Lady at the Logan County Hospital, was a deaconess at the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Chapter FS and PEO. She enjoyed golfing, sewing, gardening and traveling.

Jean is survived by her three daughters, Cyndi (Steve) Holt of Green Valley, AZ, Cheri Johnson of Ft. Morgan, CO and Lisa (Bob) Blach of Sterling, CO; grandchildren, Ryan (Jamia) Johnson of Ft. Morgan, CO, Eric (Allison) Johnson of Englewood, CO, David (fiancé Lindsay Allen) Holt of Arvada, CO, Kyle (Sarah) Blach and Jordan Blach both of Ft. Collins, CO; great-grandchildren, Van Johnson of Ft. Morgan, CO and Sebastian Johnson of Englewood, CO; and sister-in-law, Anne Kerchal of Sterling, CO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, B.F. and Florence Hartway; step-mother, Gladys Hartway; husband, Roger; sister, Virginia Hartway; and daughter, Mary Lynn Lewis.
