Jane Marie Heimbegner, 91 went to dance in Heaven with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2018. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Thursday, April 26 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, April 27 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery.

Jane was born September 6, 1926 in Peetz, Colorado to Leonard Howard and Marie Eva (Sindt) Vallier. She graduated from Peetz High School in 1938 and cosmetology school in Denver in 1945. After graduating from college she obtained a job at Naida's. She worked there until her marriage to George Heimbegner on September 28, 1946. They later divorced and Jane moved back to Sterling in 1969. She went to work at the Broadway Café/Jane's Place as a cook and worked there from 1969 until she retired in 1997. After retirement she met Gordon "Jiggs" Hatch and they enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing and they had a great life together. Jane also enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening and reading.

Jane is survived by her children, Walter Heimbegner and wife Ana Mae, Betty Schwalm and husband Kent, Georgia Guernsey and husband John, Steve Heimbegner and wife Cher and Debra George and husband Russell; daughter-in-law, Vicki Heimbegner; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; ex- husband, George; son Gerald Heimbegner; grandson Troy Heimbegner; and siblings, Helen Bertha Vallier, Henry Vallier, Frances Armstrong, Vera Hornicek and Patricia Tadolini.
