Jana Dene (English) Henry, age 69, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado. Per her request, no services will be held.

Jana was born July 21, 1956, in Houston, Texas, Jana was the fourth of five children born to William S. English and Nitis M. (Gibson) English. She graduated from Memorial High School in Houston and attended Texas A&M University before marrying William R. Henry of Lamar, Colorado, in 1982. Together, they made their home in Sterling, Colorado.

Jana spent many years working as a medical transcriptionist and later as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business. She also served faithfully in the churches she attended—as church secretary, church school teacher, pianist, bell choir member, bulletin creator, and sanctuary and fellowship hall decorator.

Above all, Jana cherished being a mother to her sons, Casey and Cameron. She volunteered countless hours in their classrooms, cheered them on through years of sports, planned unforgettable birthday and end-of-school-year parties, and supported them in every venture. She was deeply proud to be their mom and loved watching them become the men they are today.

Jana loved spending time with family, decorating her home for the holidays, crafting, crocheting, solving word puzzles, and reading. She especially treasured time with her four beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Franklin and Marjorie Henry; and her brother-in-law, Harold Diekman.

Jana is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill; sons Casey of Denver and Cameron of North Carolina; grandchildren Rylan, Emmi, Caleb, and Kal; very special friends Craig and Kim, Iona, and Julie; sister Sandi English of Houston; sister-in-law Susan Diekman of Lawton, Oklahoma; nieces Tempi (Bill) McKitrick, Kimberly (Jesse) Welsh, and Amy Thiessen; nephews Matthew Diekman and Nathan (Rachel) Diekman; six great-nieces; and five great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, which supports injured veterans, first responders, and their families.
