James Henry Hobbs, 80 of Fleming, Colorado passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at his home. Cremation will take place and no services will be held.

James was born February 5, 1943, in Sterling, Colorado to George and Marjorie Alice (Swartzlander) Hobbs. He attended school in Sterling, Colorado. James married Joann E. Cloud on February 23, 1970, in Sterling, CO. He worked for Donley's Casing in the oil fields for over 25 years and then worked for Mitchek's for 10 years.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. When James wasn't at work, he could be found doing things around the house, working on cars, and always keeping busy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joann, and brothers Donald D. Hobbs and LeRoy A. Hobbs.

James is survived by his children Kim (Dennis) Gretch of Sterling, CO, Laura (Trent) Heimerman of Harlan, Iowa, James Dean Hobbs of Sterling, CO, LeRoy Damon (Amber) Hobbs of Sterling, CO, and Robert E. Hobbs of Fleming, CO; grandchildren Daniel, Damon, Dusty, Jessica, Jenny, Justine, Andrew, Donovan, Justin, Charly, Taylor, and Charles, and several great grandchildren.
