James Robert Conour, 62 of Sterling passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Denver, CO.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, January 14 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 15 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Sean Cole officiating.  James will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery following the service.

James was born December 9, 1958 in Sterling to John Robert and Lena Mae (Price) Conour.  He attended schools in Sterling and graduated in 1977.  He received his Associates Degree from Northeastern Junior College.  James built his own boat when he was young and always loved working with cars. He was the owner/operator of T.L.C. Automotive & Towing for the past 37 years.  James married Chris Padilla on December 2, 1989 in Sterling, CO.  He enjoyed taking his girls on tours and loved helping everyone and had a big heart for kids and animals.  Family was the most important.  James was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #1336, TRPC, TRAA and Wreckmaster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lena and brother John Allen Conour.

James is survived by his wife Chris; children Laci (Robert) Flores of Greeley, Elizabeth Conour and Jessica Conour of Sterling; sisters Mary Park, Connie Conour of Sterling, Shirley Wetherill of Pueblo, and Roberta (Lee) Jordan of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Jonathan Yerton of Ft. Collins and Jace Flores and Jonah Flores of Greeley.
