James Lloyd Bell

James Lloyd Bell, 72, of Sterling, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Sterling. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Gosser officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Bell was born May 10, 1935, to John L. and Helen (Studt) Bell in Iliff. He graduated from Crook High School in the 1950s.
He worked in the oil field for L.D. Hayes and worked for Reliable Plumbing for 25 years. After retiring, he worked with his brother Leonard on the farm.
On Feb. 1, 1964, he married Leona M. Nicholson in Sterling.
Mr. Bell is survived by his son, Gary W. Harms of Holdredge, Neb.; daughters, Tina M. Burciaga of Greeley, Jody L. Rivera of Dodge City, Kans., and Jule A. Vazquez of Scottsbluff, Neb.; brother, Art Bell of Sterling; sister, Eleverna Eldridge of Wichita, Kans.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leona Bell; brothers, Everit, Leonard and Marvin; and sisters, Dorothy, Leona and Viola.
