Obituary

Jacob P. "Old School" Maxwell, 80 of Sterling passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home. A celebration of life luncheon will be held from 11 am - 3 pm, Sunday, July 7 at Pioneer Park.

Jacob was born April 26, 1939 in Goshen, New York to Moses Peter and Emma Frances (Burwell) Maxwell. He married Laurie Krizan on April 27, 1990 in Milwaukee, WI. Jacob worked many years as a general contractor restoring historical buildings. He also enjoyed restoring old Hudson cars. He loved listening to music and he has an extensive collection of 8 tracks, tapes and vinyl records. He was a long time member of the Mile High Hudson Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Edie.

Jacob is survived by his wife Laurie; children P.J. Maxwell and spouse Wendy of Greeley, CO, Tamara Maxwell and spouse Geoff of Brighton,CO, Erin Maxwell and spouse Jean of Miliken, CO, Sarah Zimmerman and spouse John of Westminster, CO and Hudson Royce Maxwell and spouse Sarah of Colorado Springs, CO and mother-in-law Midge Bushar; siblings Betsy Knebal and spouse Dan of Grant, NE, Daniel "Toby" Maxwell of Thornton, CO, Robert Maxwell of Commerce City, CO and Jeffrey Maxwell and spouse Iris of Henderson, CO; grandchildren LaeTitia, Tyler, Heather, Meggen, Zabrina, Patrick, Nathan, Clark, Madelaine, Liz and James and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
