Ileen M. Ogley, 76, of Sterling, passed away March 10, 2009, in Sterling. Visitation will be until 4 p.m. today, March 12, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Kurt Hatteburg officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Ileen was born July 31, 1932, to Edward Glendale and Hilda (Laaker) Bivens in Crook. She attended South Divide Lutheran School, then graduated from Sidney High School in Sidney, Neb.
She was a nurses' aide at Sterling Regional MedCenter (Logan County Hospital) from 1962 until her retirement in 1997. She also did home health care.
On Oct. 30, 1950, she married Reuben Ogley in Sterling. They were married 47 years, until Reuben passed away in 1998.
Ileen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed embroidering and making quilts, and sharing them as gifts for loved ones. She loved spending time with family and friends, and especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ileen is survived by a daughter, Barbara Albright and husband Harry of Sterling; son, Wayne Ogley and wife Barbara of Sterling; daughter-in-law, Marsha Ogley of Sterling; grandchildren, Abe Albright of Sterling; Ben Albright and wife Stacey of Sterling; April Ogley and Mark Bolt of Fleming; Joe Ogley of Sterling; and Tori Albright of Sterling; five great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, our "Earth Angels," Vi and Steve Bivens and Velda Moon, all of Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Ogley; grandchildren, Chelsea Ogley, Katherine Albright and Callie Albright; and brothers, Dale Bivens and Bill Bivens.
