Henry Ronald Kautz, 92, formerly of Iliff, passed away Wed., Sept. 17, 2014 in Littleton. Visitation with family receiving friends will be Sun, Sept. 21 from 4pm until 6pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Mon, Sept. 22 at 10:30 am at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, Rev. Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating, with interment and military rites at Riverside Cemetery.
Henry was born Aug. 15, 1922 in Iliff, CO to Mike and Elizabeth Fritzler Kautz. He graduated from Iliff High School. Henry entered the U. S. Army during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to farm and ranch in the Iliff and Crook area.
He married Annabelle Dubray on June 1, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA. He was a rural mail carrier until he retired in 1995. They moved to Littleton seventeen years ago.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling.
Henry is survived by his wife Annabelle Kautz ; daughter Connie Kautz; niece Terrie Todd all of Littleton; grandchildren Justin Kautz and wife Tracy of Harker Heights, TX and Veronnica McElroy and husband Calvin of Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchildren RJ Kautz and Logan Kautz of Harker Heights, TX, and numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Alvin and Ronald; six brothers and one sister.
