Helen S. Owen
June 4, 1953 - July 13, 2008

Helen S. Owen, 73, of Sterling, was born June 4, 1935, in West Allis, Wis., and entered Heaven Sunday, July 13, 2008, after a 16-month-long battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Young of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who dearly loved cooking, canning, crafts, working, video poker, her family and the Lord.
Mrs. Owen is survived by her loving and adoring husband, Harlan Owen; son, Rick Owen and wife Ruby; daughter, Jennifer Baker and husband Jonathan; brother, Joe Gebbia; sister, Mary Rose Brady; seven grandchildren, Jessica Lambrecht and husband Joshua, Nicholas Henry, Jaime Baker, Jovina Baker, JeriLynn Baker, Robert Trammell and Amanda Hastings; six great-grandchildren, Rayne Wyona, Bailey and Damien of Tennessee, Dante Lambrecht, Annabelle Baker and Nathaniel Cole; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews who all loved her very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sarro and Helen (Randazzo) Gebbia; brothers, Tony and Vince Gebbia; sisters, Ann Karney and Rita Higginbotham; and daughter, Lesa Cantrall.
