Harriet Kay (Evans) Bauer, 76, of Sterling, CO passed away Monday, September 4, 2023. Viewing will be held from 3-6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home.

Harriet was born November 13, 1946, in Denver, CO to Wilbur (Bud) and Alice Irene (Graham) Bradford Evans. She graduated with her associate degree in business management in 2009. She worked for AT&T for over 30 years and NEO data for 15 years.

Katie Bauer was a woman of many colors. Affectionally known as "Gma". She was a hard and loving woman filled with grit and grace. Gma loved all things magical from fairies, dragons, wizards, and everything in between. She also enjoyed Harry Potter, baby Yoda, Star Trek, and crafting. Horses and cows were in her life from the time she was born, till the day she died. She never relied on anyone, especially men. She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She died peacefully surrounded by love and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alice Bradford and Wilbur (Bud) Evans, 2 brothers Hoyt and Ricky Evans and a daughter Rita Kay Avitia.

Harriet is survived by her daughters Peggy Irene Melendez and Patty Miller, sons Philip Adam Bauer and Geraldo Wilbur Flores, and her sister Marty Bradford.
