Harold William Kautz, 91, of Sterling, CO passed away on Apr. 23, 2017 in Sterling. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Monday, May 1 at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Harold was born April 26, 1925 in Iliff, CO to Henry and Emilia (Stieben) Kautz. He graduated from Iliff High School. Following high school, Harold joined the U.S. Navy and served in the South Pacific as a yeoman on Landing Ship, Tank (LST.)
He worked as a pumper for a local oil company in Sterling and the Kimball, Nebraska areas.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Charles Kautz, and a sister, Betty Tifft.

Harold is survived by sisters Helen Davies (Don) of Oceanside, CA and Victoria LaRue of Lake Tahoe, NV; special friends Esther Youngman of Haxtun, CO and Penny and Ted Propst of Sterling, CO.
