Gwendolyn "Gwen" A. Fetzer, 85, of Sterling, passed away Jan. 21, 2014, in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James R. Nash officiating. Services will conclude at the church.

Gwen was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Peetz to Henry and Anita (Wilkens) Schlueter. She graduated from high school.

On April 15, 1948, she married Andrew Fetzer in Sterling. They were married 38 years before Andrew passed away in 1986.

Gwen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens Club, Drove No. 213 Patriotic Order of the Does, and VFW?Auxiliary.

She enjoyed watching her Colorado Rockies baseball team on TV. She loved traveling, working in puzzle books, and spending time with her family.

Gwen is survived by her daughter, Linda Cabrera and husband Bob of Sterling; son, Dale Fetzer and wife Dante of Gloucester City, N.J.; sisters, Darlene Palozolo of Clemet, Calif., Marjorie Hradecky of Firestone; brothers, Edward Schlueter of Farmington, N.M., Arnold Schlueter of Farmington, N.M., and Ray Schlueter of Sterling; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Fetzer; and son, Richard Fetzer.
