Glenna May Langshaw 84, of Sterling, CO passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13 at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Michelle D. Witherspoon officiating. There will be a dinner following the service and the location of the dinner is to be announced later.
Glenna May Langshaw was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was born to George Leland and Marie (Wallace) Skeen in a log cabin in Dolores, Colorado on November 2, 1936. After graduating from Greeley High School, Glenna attended Colorado State College of Education for one year and became a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. While attending college Glenna met the love of her life Melvin Langshaw and after a four-week courtship, they were married on November 16, 1956 and enjoyed 61 wonderful years together.
Mel and Glenna raised their two daughters in Trinidad, CO and were very involved in their community for 20 years. Glenna found great joy in being a stay-at-home mom and spending quality time with her family. She loved being involved in the lives of her two daughters and in the local community. Glenna enjoyed being a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Number 1, Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls, where she was awarded the Grand Cross of Colors, former President of Trinidad State Junior College of Faculty Wives, past member of PEO Chapter J in Trinidad, past President and a charter member of Chapter HS in Aurora, CO and present member of Chapter I in Greeley, CO. Above all else Glenna loved spending time with her grandchildren and being involved in their lives. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and she took great pride in them.
Glenna was preceded in death by her daughter Pamala, parents, husband Melvin, sister Nadyne Arnold and brother-in-law Larry Arnold. Glenna is survived by her daughter Cheryl Kaan and husband Dennis, granddaughter, Melissa of Laramie, WY, and grandson Dusty of Claremore, OK; niece Kay Feldman, nephew Robert Arnold and wife Karen and great-nephew Michael Arnold. They will all hold Glenna as a treasured memory in their hearts.
