Glenn Bruce Wright, 68 of Sterling, CO passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in Aurora , CO . A celebration of Glenn's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. , Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Pioneer Park Pavilion . Please bring your favorite potluck dish to the celebration.

Glenn was born January 18, 1955, in Durango, Colorado to Harold and Clara (Gilbert) Wright. He grew up in Durango, Colorado and had a love of all things outdoors. He was a foreman at Scienturfic Sod farm for over 30 years.

Glenn's love for the outdoors took his family and friends on many memorable adventures. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gambling, and working on cars. Though he loved these things dearly, nothing compared to the love he had for his family and friends.

Glenn was a man with a heart of gold. He was a caring, selfless, and strong outgoing man, who left an imprint on anyone he encountered. He never met a stranger. In 1999 , Glenn met the love of his life , Marlene. Glenn had 6 children and she had 5 children. He didn't shy away, and they later married on December 27, 2012 . T hey had many adventures, laughter, and tears but they always had unconditional love. He was so good at giving. Glenn will be greatly missed by all that knew him .

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Clara Wright, three brothers, Richard, Leon, and Wilbert and two sisters, Lois and Carol.

Glenn is survived by his wife Marlene; 6 children, Shannon, Lisa (Matt), Tawnya (Jacob), Kerri, Nicholas and Christopher; 6 stepchildren, Timmy, Stacy, Stacia (Alex), Stephanie (Dane), Harlen (Jamie), and Kaylynn (Justin); sister Wanda (Tony)Eben, 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be given to Marlene Wright to be used towards Glenn's final resting place.
