Glenn F. Gohson, 63, of Sterling, died March 6, 2011, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sean Cole officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Los Angeles to Emile Robert and Isobel Joan (Bedross) Gohson. When he was 13 months old, his father died in a car accident. At the time, his mother was pregnant with her second child, Barbara. He was raised in Burbank, Calif., and was very close to his family.
Mr. Gohson was 17 years old when his mother married Joseph Snyder, who was devoted to their family.
He graduated from Biola University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible.
In 1983, he married Debbie Harrison Edenfield.
Mr. Gohson worked as a sales manager for World Book Encyclopedia in Reno, Nev., and for several years for Certified Home Improvement Company out of Denver. The family has lived in Sterling for many years.
He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He recently published his book, "The Practical Christian Life."
Mr. Gohson is survived by his daughters, Meagan Gohson and Erika Taylor, both of Sterling; grandchildren, Mariah Gohson, Nicholas Gohson, Tristen Gohson, Nautica Trent, Violet Taylor, Diamond Taylor and Prince Taylor; and sister, Barbara Schmidt of Santa Cruz, Calif.
