Glenda Ertle-Castle, 77 of Sterling, was received in the arms of her heavenly Father, Sat., July 16, 2016. Memorial service will be held Fri., July 22 at 10:00 am at the Sterling Foursquare Church in Sterling. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Glenda was born to Glen and Ann Ertle on April 21, 1939 in Napa, California. Glenda endured multiple sclerosis for the past 50 years. At the time of her passing she was a resident of Devonshire Acres. Glenda was a graduate of a convent in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married Fred Castle in 1959. A beautiful seven month old baby girl came into their life to complete their family. They were divorced in 1976.
Glenda traveled with Fred during his military career. Glenda loved to read the Bible and Christian books. Sundays were her favorite going to church, family meal and playing card games such as scat. She will always be remembered for her strength and positive attitude.
Glenda is survived by her daughter Kathy Bollers and husband Bart; three grandchildren Shawn Dolan, Cameron Dolan and Stacy Dolan of Sterling and three great grandchildren; brothers Jerry Ertle and wife DeeAnn and Allen Ertle of Ft. Collins, Larry Ertle, Glenn Ertle and wife Pam, Bill Ertle and wife Brenda, Kenny Ertle, Ron Ertle and wife Alexes and Bob Ertle and wife Sandi of Sterling, Ricky Ertle of Denver and Dennis Ertle and wife Lynn of Moffitt, CO; sisters Mary Glassburn, Paulette McCoy and husband Ron and Diane Young of Sterling.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be sent to the Sterling Foursquare Church of Sterling and will be forwarded on to her favorite foundation, IFCJ.
